Video Display<p>​S2 Security of Framingham, Massachusetts, released Version 3 of its S2 Magic Monitor video display and digital signage solution. It enables security, safety, and informational content to be displayed anywhere throughout an enterprise. The new version increases digital content control, enhances integration with the S2 NetBox systems, and offers plug-and-go appliance options. Users can remotely control displays and video streams across multiple Magic Monitors. They can also add dynamic content options such as time zone clocks, weather, traffic, news, and RSS feeds. HD Cameras<p>​Bolide Technology Group of San Dimas, California, introduced new iPac NX series cameras with up to 4 megapixels of Ultra HD resolution. The cameras offer next-generation compression standards (HEVC/H.265), so they provide double the storage and use half the bandwidth of older compression technologies without sacrificing resolution or frame rate. The ERWEN-6E features six rack spaces that work with all standard 19-inch rack equipment and accessories. It also features vented top and bottom; cable routing knockouts; lockable, removable side panels; and a black powder coat finish. Percept NVRs act as communications conduits between IP cameras and the cloud. Biometrics<p>​The MegaMatcher 9.0 line of biometric software development kits from Neurotechnology of Vilnius, Lithuania, includes a new facial recognition algorithm and an easy-to-use face verification component for use in secure authentication applications such as mobile banking. The new VeriLook face recognition algorithm is based on deep neural networks and provides five times higher accuracy in identifying full frontal faces and 10 to 15 times higher accuracy for unconstrained facial recognition. VeriLook is included in the biometric software development kits, which include fingerprint, face, iris, palmprint, and voiceprint (speaker) identification technologies that work seamlessly together and can be used in any combination for multi-biometric solutions.&#160;</p>
Emergency App<p>​Haven is an emergency services app from New York City–based RapidSOS that provides dispatchers and first responders with critical information to accelerate response and save time and lives. Available for Apple and Android devices, it allows mobile phones to communicate with 911 emergency call centers via a data connection for voice, text, medical, and demographic data. In addition to contacting 911 centers, the app notifies a user’s emergency contacts. The Family Connect feature allows users to see the real-time location of family members and contact 911 for them in an emergency.
