True 4K Cameras<p>​New True 4K cameras from Panasonic of Newark, New Jersey, include an outdoor vandal dome (WV-SFV781L) and outdoor vandal fixed model (WV-SPV781L). Both deliver True 4K resolution, True 4K optics, and True 4K wide coverage. The cameras feature a responsive 12-megapixel 4K ULTRA HD sensor that produces a 12-megapixel image at 15 frames per second and a 4K2K image at 30 frames per second. The view is four times wider than that of a 1080p full HD camera. The cameras offer high sensitivity in color at less than 0.3 lux, and a built-in SmartIR-LED maintains performance in total darkness. The cameras include an SDXC memory card slot for edge recording.</p>
Video Management<p>​OnSSI of Pearl River, New York, is offering Ocularis v5.0 video management software for new customers and upgrades for current customers. The new software offers efficiencies, scalability, and cost effectiveness. Based on a new recorder that accommodates a high number of cameras per server while maximizing storage effectiveness, it provides improved site-to-site capabilities and communication with features, including push video feeds to remote displays and shared events. The software is offered in three levels&#58; Professional for organizations with small to mid-sized camera counts; Enterprise for medium to large IT-centric organizations; and Ultimate for large organizations with extended command-and-control needs.&#160;</p>
Radiation Safety<p>​Tracerco of Newark, Delaware, part of the Johnson Matthey group, launched a new radiation area monitoring system. Observa measures radiation dose rates and helps ensure radiation safety and source security. Plug-and-play probves allow for simple installation and the large, clear interface makes the device easy to set up and use. It gives live radiation dose rate reading from multiple detectors simultaneously. It is also available with e-mail and SMS alarm updates, allowing the user to control radiation safety standards. Site floor plans can be uploaded into the software module, and it can be personalized for each site.&#160;</p>
Video Management<p>​PennyAlert is a new service from Viakoo of Mountain View, California, that automatically diagnoses and sends alerts when a video stream is not recording. With no software to maintain and no sensors to install or interpret, the service is easy to implement and use. Besides notification, it provides automated application-aware diagnostics and recommends corrective actions to help eliminate video downtime and reduce associated expense. Infrared LED<p>​The LED10W-4R-IR infrared LED light emitter from Larson Electronics of Kemp, Texas, offers high light output in a lightweight, durable, compact 4-inch-square unit with versatile mounting and power options for use in small spaces. It produces a 500-foot-long and 50-foot-wide beam of light output in the 750 nm, 850 nm, or 940 nm range while drawing only 12 watts of power from a 12-volt electrical system. Four Edison Edixeon 3-watt LEDs are paired with 10-degree optics to produce a tightly focused spot beam with limited spread and spillage. It is also available with 35-degree flood optics to produce a wider beam spread. Asset tracking is enabled for users of Visonic RFID or generic bar code readers. License plate recognition integration and point-of-sale applications are also supported.&#160;</p>
