STROBE LIGHT <p>​Larson Electronics of Kemp, Texas, released an explosion-proof, 10-watt LED strobe light with a magnetic mount base. The IP67-rated unit is available in different color options. The EPSLED-80-M-25 is magnetically mounted for temporary use in hazardous areas and where gases, vapors, and dust may be present. The waterproof lamp housing is constructed of cast aluminum and UL-tested to withstand 1,490 pounds per square inch of hydrostatic pressure. The LED strobe light is mounted by a 200-pound grip magnetic base. It has 25 feet of power cable terminating in an explosion-proof plug. GOVERNMENT ACCESS <p>​The new pivCLASS MultiPACS software from HID Global of Austin, Texas, simplifies federal identity coordination across large operations with multiple access control systems. One individual can be registered into multiple access systems simultaneously without having to visit each site to register a credential. All FIPS 201-based credential enrollment processes can be executed from any single location. The software obtains the cardholder’s information using pivCLASS Registration Engine software for desktop computers or a mobile version. When a credential is revoked, MultiPACS and the pivCLASS Certificate Manager work together to immediately suspend the card across all access systems.&#160;</p>
EMERGENCY SYSTEM <p>​<span style="font-size&#58;11pt;line-height&#58;107%;font-family&#58;calibri, sans-serif;">DataTech911 of Greenbelt, Maryland, released StatusNet911 Community Contact, a Web-accessible system designed to track residents who have been evacuated or otherwise displaced during large emergency events. Authorized personnel at emergency shelters can identify and register displaced families and individuals. The database is immediately available to authorities in the area so they can process inquiries from those trying to locate missing persons during an emergency. Community Contact is available free to any state and local government. It can be used on a standalone basis or integrated with StatusNet911 to also track individuals who have been transported to medical facilities.</span></p>
